  • What are anti-wrinkle treatments?

    Anti-wrinkle treatments like Botox are trade names for Botulinum toxin type A. It is protein produced by a bacteria called Clostridium botulinum. The toxin acts by blocking a the activity of a neurotransmitter, acetylcholine, responsible for transmitting impulses that cause contractions of muscles. They are used as a non-surgical facial aesthetic procedures to temporarily relax facial muscles, softening the appearance of wrinkles.

  • How can anti-wrinkle treatments help me?

    We often suggest wrinkle relaxers for individuals who have visible lines even when their face is at rest, or who are prone to developing wrinkles in specific areas due to their facial expressions. This treatment helps soften those lines and delivers a smoother, more refreshed appearance.

  • What areas can be treated?

    Forehead, frown, crows feet, bunny lines, under eye wrinkles, lip lines, gummy smile, dimpled chin, masseter, Neck lines. Lift tip of nose and excessive sweating.

  • Does it hurt?

    A very fine tiny needle is used, making the procedure virtually painless.

  • How soon does it work?

    It usually takes effect 24-72 hours after treatment, with maximum effect at about 1-2 weeks. Treatments to the face can last for 3-4 months and treatments for excessive sweating can last 9-12 months.

  • Who can't can anti-wrinkle treatments?

    This treatment is not permitted for people with neuromuscular disorders like myasthenia gravis, patients taking muscle relaxants and antibodies such as aminoglycosides or if they have a bleeding disorder. The treatment cannot be administered to pregnant or breastfeeding women. It will also be avoided if there is inflammation or infection at the site of the injection

  • Can it treat all wrinkles?

    Anti-wrinkle treatments will not reduce fine lines on the face caused by sun damage, or lines caused by sagging of facial skin. In those patients, they may benefit from skincare that can improve skin quality and perhaps dermal fillers.

  • Pre treatment tips

    1.       Avoid Skin Treatments (1–2 Weeks Before)

    Hold off on facials, chemical peels, laser, or microneedling to prevent skin irritation

    2.       Avoid Blood Thinners (7 Days Before)

    Skip aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E, and herbal supplements to reduce the risk of bruising.

    3.       No Alcohol (24–48 Hours Before)

    Alcohol increases the risk of bruising and swelling—best to avoid.

    4.       Pause Intense Workouts (Day of Treatment)

    Skip vigorous exercise before your appointment to minimise blood flow and bruising.

    5.       Stay Hydrated & Eat Light (Day of Treatment)

    Drink water and have a light snack beforehand to avoid feeling lightheaded.

  • Post Treatment

     1. Stay Upright (4–6 Hours)

    Keep your head elevated—no lying down or bending forward. This helps prevent the Botox from moving to unintended areas.

     2. Avoid Touching or Massaging Treated Areas (24 Hours)

    Let the Botox settle naturally. Avoid facials, makeup application, or rubbing the area.

    3. No Intense Exercise (24 Hours)

    Skip workouts, hot yoga, or strenuous activity to reduce the risk of swelling and bruising.

     4. Avoid Alcohol & Blood Thinners (24–48 Hours)

    These can increase bruising. Also avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, and similar medications unless prescribed.

     5. No Heat or Saunas (48 Hours)

    Avoid hot showers, steam rooms, saunas, or sunbeds to reduce the risk of inflammation.

     6. Expect Minor Swelling or Bruising

    Mild swelling or bruising is normal and usually resolves within a few days.
